About our services
What areas do you cover?
We provide dog walking and dog‑care services across North West Cardiff. Areas include Radyr & Morganstown, Capel Llanilltern, Creigiau & Pentyrch, Gwaelod-y-Garth and Tongwynlais. If you live just beyond our catchment boundary, we'd still love to hear from you. Please get in touch to discuss your location and we'll do our best to help. Adventure walks include travel to carefully selected coastal, woodland, and mountain locations across South Wales.
How long are your walks?
Standard walks are 45 or 60 minutes excluding travel. Depending on who we collect first, your pup may be with us for up to two hours. Weekend adventure walks run for 3–4 hours including travel, offering extended enrichment and varied terrain.
What times are your walks?
We aim to meet client needs, but our core schedule includes a group Ramble and Constitutional every morning, followed by a second group Ramble mid‑afternoon. Drop‑ins are fitted around these group sessions, and we’ll always do our best to accommodate your requirements.
Do you walk dogs individually or in groups?
We don’t currently offer solo walks. Our group walks are small and carefully matched by temperament, confidence and ability to ensure every dog feels comfortable and supported. If your dog isn’t ready for group walking yet and is working through behavioural training, we’re happy to collaborate with your trainer to help them build the skills needed to join a small, well‑managed pack in the future.
What does a drop‑in visit include?
A drop‑in visit is ideal for dogs who don’t need a walk but still require a welfare check during the day. Each visit includes a calm wellbeing assessment, fresh water, feeding if needed, a toilet break in the garden, and a few minutes of gentle interaction or enrichment to keep them settled.
What if my pet has an emergency while I’m away?
If we notice anything concerning, we’ll contact you immediately. If urgent care is needed and we cannot reach you, we will take your pet to your registered vet.
Do you offer overnight stays?
We don't currently offer overnight stays.
Can you administer medication?
Yes — tablets, liquids, and topical treatments. Anything more complex may require vet guidance.
Dog Welfare & Safety
How do you keep dogs safe during walks?
Safety is at the heart of everything we do. Dogs travel in crash‑tested crates inside a fully air‑conditioned van, and every walk is carefully risk‑assessed. We use secure harnesses and leads, monitor weather conditions, adapt routes as needed, and always carry fresh water. A fitness‑to‑walk check is completed before each session, and we keep every dog’s medical and emergency details on hand so we can act quickly if required. As trained Canine First Aiders, we’re equipped to respond calmly and effectively in an emergency, giving you complete peace of mind.
What happens in extreme weather?
In hot weather, we avoid the midday heat, choose shaded routes, and if you’re happy for your dog to join in—let them paddle in safe, shallow rivers or streams to keep cool. During severe cold or stormy conditions, we adjust walk timings as needed and will only cancel if there is a genuine risk to safety. In those rare cases, we switch to a welfare drop‑in visit to ensure your dog is comfortable, checked on and content. If your dog needs a coat in cold weather, please send it along so we can keep them warm and cosy throughout their outing.
Can my dog go off‑lead?
Off‑lead time is offered only with your consent and once we’re confident in your dog’s recall. Locations are chosen carefully to ensure safety.
Do you take reactive dogs?
Yes, depending on the nature of the reactivity. We carry out a detailed behavioural assessment during our onboarding process and will discuss any behavioural issues with you. If we feel that we would not be able to safely manage your dogs behaviour then we will be open and honest with you.
What if my dog doesn’t get along with others?
If a dog in the group isn’t getting on with another, we assess what’s causing the tension and make adjustments to keep everyone safe and comfortable. This may include changing group composition, using structured introductions, choosing routes with more space, or working alongside the dog’s trainer if they’re building social skills. If a dog continues to feel uncomfortable despite support, we’ll recommend an alternative arrangement that better suits their welfare.
What if my dog shows aggression?
If a dog shows aggression on a walk, we prioritise safety by creating space, removing them from the situation and assessing what triggered the behaviour. If the aggression continues or poses a risk, they won’t remain in group walks. We’ll share our observations with you and may recommend working with a qualified trainer before considering a return. During the meet and greet, we carry out a behavioural assessment, so it’s important to be open about your dog’s history to ensure we can support them safely and confidently.
Do you use positive reinforcement?
Yes — we use reward‑based, welfare‑focused methods at all times.
Transport & Adventure Walks
How do you transport dogs?
Dogs travel in professional, crash‑tested crates with excellent ventilation. The van is fully air‑conditioned, and the internal temperature and the dogs are checked regularly throughout the journey. We hold comprehensive commercial vehicles insurance and pet‑care insurance including public liability, key cover, and transport cover.
What does an adventure walk include?
An adventure walk includes travel to a beautiful, dog‑friendly location, a structured and engaging walk, rest breaks, enrichment activities, confidence‑building exercises, and plenty of photos for you to enjoy afterwards. If your dog needs food or snacks during the day, we ask that you provide these. Our most popular adventure formats include Tide Walks and Mountain Expeditions, each designed to give your dog a safe, stimulating and memorable experience. An adventure walk usually lasts 3 to 4 hours and is great if you have a busy day but want your dog to have fun too.
Are adventure walks suitable for all dogs?
They’re best suited to dogs with good fitness, recall, and confidence. Puppies, elderly dogs, or dogs with medical conditions may be better suited to shorter walks or enrichment visits.
Booking, Payments & Policies
Do you require a meet‑and‑greet?
A meet and greet is essential. It helps us understand your dog’s needs, behaviour, routine and home environment, and gives you the chance to ask questions and get to know us. During this visit, we complete a behavioural and health assessment to ensure we can support your dog safely. As part of onboarding, we also offer a free 30‑minute walk so we can see how your dog responds to us in a real setting, and we’ll always be honest if we feel we’re not the right fit. A meet and greet is also required for drop‑ins so we can understand your pet’s routine, feeding needs, temperament and any home‑care requirements.
How do I book?
We use a dedicated online platform which manages all communications, bookings, payments, and client management. We will provide you with login details as part of the onboarding process.
How do I pay?
We use a secure online platform to manage all bookings and payments. All payments are made online, and payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your space. Your login details and access to the system will be provided during onboarding, making everything simple and convenient to manage.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. If your cancellation falls within our policy timeframe, any refund due will be issued automatically through our booking system.
Do you offer discounts for multiple dogs or regular bookings?
Yes. We’re pleased to offer cost‑effective options for multi‑dog households and regular walkers. A discounted rate is available for second dogs from the same household. We also offer a discounted rate for clients who book 10 or more walks in advance.
What insurance do you have?
We hold comprehensive commercial vehicle insurance, pet‑care insurance including public liability, key cover, and transport cover.
Do you take dogs with medical conditions?
Yes - depending on the condition. Many conditions are manageable with vet approval. We’ll discuss your dog’s needs during the meet‑and‑greet.
Will I receive updates?
Yes — we’ll talk through your update preferences during the meet and greet. We’re happy to send photos, videos and regular check‑ins if you’d like them. We also keep our Instagram and Facebook pages updated with photos (with client permission) and service news, so you can see what your dog has been up to.
How do you handle emergencies?
Collapsible text is great for longer section titles and descriptions. It gives people access to all the info they need, while keeping your layout clean. Link your text to anything, or set your text box to expand on click. Write your text here...
What happens if you are unwell or going on holiday?
We take reliability seriously, so we have clear procedures in place for any time I’m unavailable. If I’m unwell and unable to safely walk your dog, I’ll let you know as early as possible so you have time to make alternative arrangements. Where appropriate, I may offer a short comfort‑break visit instead. For planned holidays, you’ll always receive plenty of notice, along with confirmed dates of absence.
Hygiene & Home Access
How do you manage muddy dogs?
We towel-dry dogs, rinse when needed, and ensure they’re comfortable before returning home.
How do you access my home?
Keys are stored securely, and lockboxes can be used if preferred. We follow strict security procedures. We will not leave keys at the property unless stored in a secure lockbox.
Qualifications & Certification
What qualifications do you hold?
I hold a Level 3 Qualification in Professional Dog Walking & Pet Sitting, covering canine behaviour, welfare, legislation, and safe operational practice. I’m also a certified Canine First Aider, ensuring I can respond effectively to emergencies during walks or visits. Alongside my pet‑care qualifications, I bring a strong professional background as an MRICS Chartered Surveyor, supported by previous degrees and higher‑level academic qualifications. This experience adds a wealth of transferable skills, organisation, risk assessment, safeguarding, professional conduct, client care, and meticulous attention to detail, all of which directly enhance the quality and reliability of the services I provide.
Do you have a DBS certificate?
Yes — I hold a current enhanced DBS certificate, giving clients complete peace of mind when trusting me with their home, keys, and pets. A copy of the certificate will be provided on request.
